In accordance with CGS 7-191b, all members of the public are invited to attend a Public Hearing held by the Board of Selectmen on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 7:00pm at the Canton Public Library & Community Center, 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton, Connecticut, to review and discuss proposed charter amendments to the Town Charter as submitted by the Charter Revision Commission. The full text of the Charter amendments is on file in the Town Clerk’s office or on the Town’s website.

If you are having trouble making ends meet, Mobile Foodshare can help. Mobile Foodshare is an outdoor food distribution for individuals and families of low income.

This program provides fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and occasionally other perishables depending on availability.

Canton residents are invited to utilize the Mobile Pantry in Burlington

* Please bring your own bags
* Distribution is rain or shine
* Cancellations listed on WFSB Channel 3

Located at Burlington Town Hall, 200 Spielman Highway (Rt. 4)

Fundraising Nights to benefit Canton High School Substance Free Graduation Party ~ Class of 2011

For all diners who present a coupon to their server at DISH ‘n Dat restaurant during the evenings of March 21-24, the restaurant will donate 15% of their meal bills toward the Canton High School Class of 2011 Substance-Free Graduation Party.

Coupons are available in the Canton High School office or by clicking HERE. They may be presented from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. March 21-24 at the restaurant, located in the Shoppes at Farmington Valley.

Proceeds will help fund a fun, safe party for Canton High School graduates. The party is funded by local families, businesses and organizations. Anyone wishing to help make this year’s party a success may send a donation, payable to “CHS 2011 Graduation Party”, to Canton High School, 76 Simonds Ave., Canton, CT 06019.
