ACCOUNTANT:
The Town of Canton is seeking candidates for the position of Accountant. This position is responsible for general accounting controls and the financial records of the Town. Salary range $48,000 to $53,000.  A Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or business administration or closely related field, with at least three (3) years of increasingly responsible governmental accounting experience MUNIS software experience preferred. MAINTAINER / EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II:

The Town of Canton is seeking applications for the position of Maintainer / Equipment Operator II. Responsibilities include snow plowing and general maintenance of Town roads, bridges, grounds and facilities.  Position is 40 hours per week at 18.46 per hour. High School diploma or equivalent and one year experience in highway maintenance or construction preferred. Must possess a current valid commercial driver’s license. POLICE OFFICER:

The Canton Police Department is currently seeking entry level and POST certified candidates for the position of a full time police officer.  We are interested in those officers who enjoy working in a small department which focuses on integrity, professionalism and community policing.  Certified Officers will start at Step 2 at a salary of $56,495 and at the end of probation they will be at step 3 at a salary of $59,692.  Please attach a resume and if currently certified, a copy of current POST certification.  Candidates must successfully pass a written exam, oral interview, polygraph, psychological exam, physical exam, physical agility test, and background check.
